History stories for kids
History stories tell how a real event or idea began, in language a child can follow. Ages run from 5 to 18, and the quiz at the end is five questions about the story itself, not a pile of dates to memorise. Parents and teachers can read a section, ask what the people wanted, and then use the quiz as a conversation. This page collects those stories so a reader can move from one event to another that happened in the same kind of world. A story is published when it is long enough to explain the event, has a picture, and is written in English. If a person or a moment is missing, start from the home page and ask for that topic. One story is one sitting.
Parents can save a story after signing in, and Premium removes the daily limit on new lessons. Start with the list on this page, then open a related story when the first one is finished.
